Teach Community Enrichment classes which consist of single courses, each complete in itself, that focus on an individual's personal or leisure needs rather than occupational or professional employment.
Duties
Develop, present, and follow a course outline with goals and objectives for each course. Design class material appropriate to each course. Submit all course materials for review and approval. Keep accurate student roster and attendance records for each course. Maintain a positive environment and rapport with students, while meeting the objectives of the course.
Minimum Requirements
1. Two years of teaching experience;
2. Documented knowledge of subject matter (must showcase in application, education and/or certifications);
3. In certain areas, Bachelor's degree in subject matter required or a combination of college degree along with relevant work experience. Certification where required (such as Yoga, Pilates, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
1. Five years teaching experience;
2. Previous experience teaching adults in a Community College setting.
