Job description

UC Davis Health School of Medicine is seeking a dedicated and innovative Labor and Delivery Hospitalist and/or Generalist to join our Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology in the University Womens Health (UWH) division. UC Davis delivers approximately 2,000 babies each year and features a level III NICU, catering to a high-risk obstetric population. 


Highlights:

  • Schedule: Full and Part time and offers 12 hour shifts or varied shifts through the month
  • Call Schedule: Occasional outpatient care; daytime laborist on labor and delivery; obstetric day call; obstetrical night call in-house; at home gynecology call in rotation; and inpatient nighttime hospitalist duties on labor and delivery, including urgent and emergent gynecologic surgery
  • Support Team Includes: multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Direct patient care including outpatient services, labor management, and emergency surgeries.
    Teaching and supervising residents and medical students in various clinical settings.

Qualifications:

  • Board certified/board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Medical License in California
  • Completion of an approved OBGYN Residency program
  • Experience in general OB/GYN

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in LGBTQ and Diverse populations care
