Job Summary & Requirements:
The IT Field Technician is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of technology infrastructure and end-user systems at customer and company locations. This role includes deploying and troubleshooting network equipment, security cameras, audio/visual systems, televisions, wireless access points, structured cabling, and workstation devices while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and support network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and related equipment.
  • Install and maintain security camera systems, network video recorders (NVRs), and physical security devices.
  • Mount and configure televisions, digital signage displays, and audio/visual equipment.
  • Perform structured cabling installations including Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optics, and cable management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues in the field.
  • Install, configure, and support desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess customer requirements and recommend solutions.
  • Document installations, network diagrams, configurations, and service activities.
  • Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and customers to ensure successful project completion.
  • Provide technical training and support to end users as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, safety practices, and industry best practices.
  • Participate in on-call support and emergency response activities when required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification.
  • Experience with Cisco, Ubiquiti, Meraki, Fortinet, Aruba, or similar networking platforms.
  • Experience with structured cabling certification and testing tools.
  • Knowledge of access control and building security systems.
