    The Customer Service Specialist makes an impact by -
    • Perform all responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative position, including customer communications, data entry, order processing, and inventory management.
    • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designated departmental processes, systems, and procedures, providing guidance and support to team members.
    • Investigate and resolve escalated or second-level order and delivery issues for all Direct Store Delivery (DSD) accounts.
    • Audit, reconcile, and verify product movement and inventory transactions to ensure accurate deliveries, inventory records, and customer billing.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing solutions that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
    • Act as a resource for training and onboarding team members on departmental processes and systems.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, improve workflows, and support business objectives.
    • Perform all duties within established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and FSMA guidelines as well as all safety regulations.
    • Comply with Safe Quality Foods (SQF) food safety and quality standards.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.

    • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in customer service, a call center environment, or a related field.
    • Previous experience in an advanced customer service role, or demonstrated progression of responsibilities and scope within prior positions, preferred.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple systems and applications.
    Physical Demands -
    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
    • The employee is required to talk and/or hear in an office setting (noise level is low) and manufacturing setting where noise levels can be high (PPE required).
    • The employee is frequently required to stand and walk in an office or manufacturing environment from 4-8+ hours.
    • The employee must be able to ascend and descend stairs, and where applicable and when necessary, to perform various job-related tasks.
    • Must be able to position self to move, reach with arms/hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed to perform various job-related tasks.
    • The employee must be able to inspect all job-related equipment (office or floor) to ensure it is in good working condition prior to use. Must be able to use hands/fingers to handle (or feel) to operate various types of office equipment.
    • Must be able to operate all job-related equipment (powered, hand or office) as required.
    • Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust focus.
    • Ability to lift 20 pounds and/or push/pull 20 pounds on a regular or occasional basis.
    • Must have ability to travel to clients, customers, or other work sites by a variety of transportation methods.
