Job description

Position Summary: Support departments efforts that relate to quality improvement. Coordinate and execute plans to obtain and/or maintain certification for IATF 16949 and ISO-9001 and to current automotive international applicable standard. Responsible for helping achieve customer / supplier quality expectations, production requirements, scrap and re-work requirements.

Provide guidance to managers to interpret, implement and communicate policies and procedures. Qualifications: (knowledge, skills and abilities): Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. 3+ years quality control automotive manufacturing experience required Quality Management System (QMS) and IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 experience Implement and maintain all quality system requirements, including APQP, PPAP, and customer-specific requirements.

Strong communication and leadership skills. Primary Position Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards. Lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving efforts Validate supplier product quality through quality control plans, inspection criteria, and sampling procedures.

Develop and implement quality system improvements to comply with business plan goals Responsible for quality system internal and external audits. Verification of countermeasure effectiveness. Develop and maintain PFMEA, Control Plans, Flow Charts and Process Capability Studies.

Essential Skills and Experience: Good oral and written communication skills Strong leadership skills Ability to communicate with all levels of Associates and outside contacts Ability to work independently from general supervision Excellent organization skills with ability to perform multiple tasks and obtain results working within strict time frames Proficient in MS Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint Ability to read and comprehend engineering specifications and drawings Proficient knowledge of manufacturing process Reporting to this position: No Direct Reports to this Position Physical demands and work environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
