The Role

We are seeking a Sales Representative to lead B2B sales for TruNorth’s mushroom ingredient  portfolio. This is a senior, revenue-driving role suited for a seasoned closer with deep roots in the natural health ecosystem and established relationships with brands, formulators, and decision-makers.

You will represent three active, revenue-generating brands, selling bulk mushroom ingredients backed by verified scientific data, preclinical research, and traditional use-bridging science, sourcing, and commercial application.

This is not an entry-level or transactional sales role. It is a relationship-led, science-informed position for someone who already knows the landscape and can operate with autonomy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive B2B sales of TruNorth mushroom raw material, extracts and proprietary delivery systems to:
    • Nutraceutical and supplement brands
    • Functional Food and Beverage brands
    • Contract manufacturers
    • Formulators and R&D teams
    • Clinician-founded or clinician-advised brands
    • Pet and livestock food additives
    • Cosmetics
  • Leverage existing relationships to open and close high-value accounts
  • Act as a subject-matter translator between the lab and the client to inform on the key benefits of TruNorth’s product list
  • Position TruNorth as a long-term ingredient partner -not a commodity supplier
  • Collaborate with internal teams on:
    • Product positioning
    • Scientific storytelling
    • New market opportunities
  • Represent TruNorth at industry events, conferences, and private meetings when appropriate


Who You Are

  • Sales experience in the natural health, nutraceutical, or functional ingredient space
  • Proven track record as a closer, not just a relationship builder
  • Deeply connected to:
    • Brand founders
    • Product development and formulation teams
    • Clinicians (NDs, MDs, integrative practitioners, etc.)
  • Comfortable selling science-backed ingredients, not hype
  • Experienced in bulk or ingredient sales (raw materials, extracts, actives)
  • Understands how brands evaluate:
    • Efficacy
    • Quality
    • Supply chain integrity
    • Scientific substantiation
  • Self-directed, disciplined, and capable of managing a long sales cycle
  • Values transparency, ethics, and ecological responsibility
