Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients presenting with orthopedic issues, developing tailored treatment plans that address their unique limitations and capabilities.
• Provide expert consultation to other healthcare providers regarding patient care, ensuring a seamless continuum of treatment and recovery.
• Communicate effectively with all patients, care teams, and support staff, maintaining adherence to our high standards of customer service and care quality.
• Document and evaluate treatment plans and progress, making necessary adjustments based on patient outcomes while adhering to all professional standards and compliance regulations.
• Supervise and mentor support staff, including physical therapist assistants and students, fostering a teaching environment that enhances skills and knowledge.
• Participate in leadership initiatives related to program development, quality improvement, and community outreach, ensuring the rehabilitation center remains at the forefront of best practices in physical therapy.
• Engage in ongoing self-educational activities, such as in-services and continuing education programs, to maintain licensure and enhance clinical expertise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on working with a diverse patient population, encompassing individuals of all ages with a variety of orthopedic conditions. We emphasize personalized care plans aimed at rehabilitation and functional improvement, which require a compassionate approach to treatment. As an integral member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, you will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and support staff to optimize patient health outcomes and ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is mandatory.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy is required for practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in using word processing and electronic medical record systems.
• Ability to perform all essential duties effectively and efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation is preferred.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and recent advancements in physical therapy techniques.
• Previous leadership or mentoring experience is a plus, as it will enhance team dynamics.

Compensation and Benefits
