Trinity Christian Counseling is seeking compassionate, licensed and associate-licensed mental health therapists to join our growing Christian counseling practice in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

You focus on your clients. We help take care of the administrative details.

Our administrative team handles insurance verification, credentialing, claims, billing, collections, client calls, and new-client intake scheduling.

Compensation

$60,000–$80,000 annually, based on licensure, experience, caseload, schedule, and position.

Work Setting & Schedule

This is a primarily in-person counseling position at our Winston-Salem office.

We offer flexible scheduling while maintaining the consistency necessary to provide excellent client care.

Telehealth may be utilized during inclement weather, temporary office closures, and other practice-approved circumstances to support continuity of care.

Full-time clinicians are expected to develop and maintain an active caseload of approximately 25–28 scheduled clients per week. Caseload expectations are adjusted appropriately for part-time clinicians.

Our established referral stream, marketing efforts, and administrative support help clinicians build and maintain their caseloads.

Position Overview

The Licensed Mental Health Therapist provides evidence-based mental health counseling while supporting the mission and Christian values of Trinity Christian Counseling.

Clinicians should be comfortable integrating Christian principles and faith-based interventions into counseling when clinically appropriate and consistent with the client’s preferences, treatment goals, and informed consent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, couples, and/or family therapy based on clinical competency and areas of specialization.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments.
  • Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Develop and maintain an active caseload appropriate to full-time or part-time status.
  • Collaborate with other clinicians and participate in clinical consultation and peer support.
  • Provide ethical, culturally responsive, evidence-based mental health care.
  • Integrate Christian principles into treatment when clinically appropriate. 
  • Maintain professional licensure and continuing education requirements.
  • Remain current on evidence-based therapeutic interventions and best practices.
  • Adhere to applicable ethical, legal, insurance, documentation, and practice standards.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Current North Carolina professional or associate license appropriate to the clinician’s discipline, including LCMHC, LCMHCA, LCSW, LCSWA, LMFT, LMFTA, or other applicable credential.
  • Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and therapeutic intervention skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a clinical team.
  • Ability to support the mission and values of a Christian counseling practice while honoring client individual treatment preferences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training or experience in trauma-informed care.
  • Experience providing marriage counseling.
  • Experience with family systems therapy.
  • Experience working with children and/or adolescents.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and telehealth platforms.
  • Experience working in an insurance-based outpatient mental health setting.
