What We Look For In a Geometry Tutor
- Advanced Subject Mastery: Deep knowledge of geometric proofs, triangle congruence and similarity, circles, polygons, coordinate geometry, transformations, and three-dimensional figures. - Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with high school geometry curricula and common challenges including proof construction, auxiliary line usage, and coordinate plane applications. Adapts instruction using dynamic geometry software, hands-on manipulatives, and visual diagrams to support learners from concrete to abstract reasoning levels.
- Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
