Came To Believe Recovery, Inc is expanding our mission! We’re seeking a part-time Team Assistant who will provide administrative support to our fundraising team in the areas of donor engagement, events planning and marketing/communications efforts that advance recovery, discipleship, and community impact.


Came To Believe Recovery, Inc is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals on their recovery journey through education, community, and spiritual growth. We use the 12-Step model as the foundation of our programs, honoring both its historical roots and timeless principles.


What will be my role?


Administrative Support:

  • Assist Fundraising team with various tasks and projects.
  • Maintain donor salesforce database updates by tracking gifts, acknowledgments, and stewardship.
  • Conduct research on new donors and provide information to team. At times, may interface with new and existing supporters/donors.
  • Prepare and maintain fundraising reports and materials for leadership and board.

Marketing/Communications:

  • Update social media content sites to increase visibility and engagement regarding fundraising.
  • Collaborate with fundraising staff to develop content for newsletters, fundraising appeals, and donor outreach.

Events Planning:

  • Assist coordinating 6 fundraising/networking events for 2026 (with a goal of increasing in 2027 and beyond).
  • Plan, coordinate, and communicate all logistics (venue location, calendar invites, reservations) for breakfast/lunch/dinner meetings in NJ/NY tri-state area.


Skills need for success?


  • Ability to work 20 hours a week
  • BS/BA in marketing/communications as a current student or recent graduate. Masters a plus. Applicable internship in a marketing/communication or non-profit role or 1 year experience as a admin assistant or coordinator.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written skills, including experience with newsletters and donor communications
  • Highly proficient utilizing technology (google docs, excel, databases) to generate reports and maintain databases.
  • Proven experience maintaining and updating social media platforms.
  • Events planning a plus.
  • Self-motivator and a team player who is highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to work from home and onsite from time to time.
  • Must reside in the Somerset/Morris County NJ area.
  • Ability to pass background checks.

Salary:

$20.00 to $25.00/Hour based on experience.
