Job description

As a Pest Management Specialist, you will play an important role in protecting homes and businesses from insects, rodents, and other pests. This position involves inspecting properties, identifying pest issues, applying treatments, educating customers, and helping maintain healthy, pest-free environments.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect residential and commercial properties for signs of pest activity and conditions conducive to infestations.
  • Identify pest species and determine appropriate treatment methods.
  • Apply pesticides and other pest control materials in accordance with state regulations, label requirements, and company procedures.
  • Install and maintain bait stations, traps, and monitoring devices.
  • Educate customers on pest prevention, exclusion, and sanitation practices.
  • Maintain accurate service records and treatment documentation.
  • Safely operate company vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain professional appearance and represent the company positively with customers.
  • Participate in ongoing training and certification programs.
  • Assist with seasonal services including tick and mosquito control, stinging insect treatments, termite services, and rodent management.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily routes efficiently.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to climb ladders, crawl in confined spaces, and work on your feet throughout the day.
  • Previous pest control experience is preferred but not required.
  • Pennsylvania pesticide certification is a plus, but training and certification assistance will be provided.

Full-Time
Primarily four 10-hour days per week (4x10 schedule)
