Job description

The Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, strategic planning, and overall performance of the rental company. This role involves managing staff, optimizing customer service, ensuring asset utilization, and driving revenue growth. The Shop Manager ensures that all rental operations-whether vehicles, equipment or property-are efficient, compliant with regulations, and aligned with company goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee daily operations of the rental facility, including inventory management, logistics, and customer service.
  • Identify and relay business strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the company staff.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvements.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and partners.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Identify market trends and opportunities for expansion or diversification.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality.

REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years of experience in a managerial role, preferably in equipment rental, logistics or construction.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in business software and rental management system (e.g., ERP systems, CRM tools, Microsoft Office).
  • Knowledge of equipment types, maintenance, and rental processes is a plus.
