POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead all HR functions at our solar panel manufacturing facility. This role is critical to building a safe, compliant, and high-performance workforce while supporting our mission to advance clean energy manufacturing in the United States.
The HR Manager will serve as a Human Resource strategic and executive planner, while remaining hands-on with day-to-day HR operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
HR Strategy & Leadership
- Partner with plant and corporate leadership to align HR strategy with operational and business goals
- Develop and implement workforce plans to support production growth and shift-based operations
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and safety-focused workplace culture
Recruitment & Workforce Development
- Lead hourly and salaried recruitment for manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and support roles
- Manage onboarding, training coordination, and retention initiatives
- Support apprenticeship, upskilling, and workforce development programs
Employee Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and investigations
- Coach supervisors and managers on performance management and disciplinary actions
- Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures
Compliance & Labor Relations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, OSHA, EEOC, ADA, FMLA, etc.)
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Support audits, inspections, and reporting requirements
- Manage union interactions or labor relations activities if applicable
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Support
- Administer compensation programs, benefits enrollment, and leave management
- Partner with payroll and corporate HR to ensure accurate and timely processing
- Support annual merit reviews and workforce planning
Health, Safety & Wellness
- Collaborate with EHS teams to reinforce workplace safety programs
- Support return-to-work, workers’ compensation, and wellness initiatives
- Occasional travel to suppliers, manufacturing facilities, or industry conferences as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
Training &/or Experience
5+ years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments

Preferred
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR)
- Experience in renewable energy, solar manufacturing, or advanced manufacturing
- Experience in union or labor-relations environments
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Work environment
- Manufacturing plant setting with office and production floor presence
- May require flexibility to support multiple shifts or occasional weekends
