Receptionist - Patient Experience

Pollock Clinics

New Westminster, BC • On-site

CA$20 - CA$23/hr

Job description

About Pollock Clinics

Pollock Clinics is Canada’s leading men’s health provider, known for our world-class medical services and our commitment to redefining the patient journey. We believe that excellence begins the moment a patient walks through the door, not just in the treatment room.

The Role: Receptionist – Patient Experience

We are looking for a Receptionist who does more than manage the front desk—you will curate a warm, welcoming, and elevated experience for every patient. This role combines traditional receptionist duties with high-level hospitality, ensuring that each individual feels seen, supported, and respected throughout their visit.

What You’ll Do

  • Be the face of the clinic—greet every patient and guest with professionalism, warmth, and discretion
  • Create a tailored and comfortable experience by offering beverages, noting preferences, and providing reassurance in a calm, polished environment
  • Ensure our reception area feels more like a private wellness lounge than a medical office—clean, quiet, and beautifully maintained
  • Manage appointment bookings, confirmations, reminders, and intake procedures with accuracy and kindness
  • Respond to emails and phone calls with empathy, precision, and urgency
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to seamlessly support patient flow and ensure follow-ups and instructions are communicated clearly
  • Data entry and patient tracking with accuracy and detail

What We’re Looking For

  • A natural host who can put people at ease
  • Exceptional communication skills—verbal, written, and digital
  • Previous experience in a high-touch hospitality, wellness, or private healthcare environment
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, with a focus on discretion, empathy, and service
  • Able to handle fast-paced situations with calm and grace
  • A team player who takes initiative and loves to go the extra mile

What Makes This Different

At Pollock Clinics, the front desk is not just reception—it’s the front line of care. We are designing a patient experience that is:

  • Personalized: remembering names, preferences, and special requests
  • Comfortable: offering beverages, maintaining a non-clinical feel, and supporting privacy
  • Efficient and professional: matching hospitality with top-tier medical care
  • Emotionally intelligent: anticipating needs, offering reassurance, and reading the room
