Generator Maintenance Technician - Entry Level | $18.00 - $30.00 per hour

Depending on experience, plus commission opportunities

Work Hours: Monday through Friday | 7:30am to 4:00pm

Townsend Energy is currently hiring a Generator Maintenance Technician to join our expanding Generator Services team. Prior generator experience is not necessary-we are seeking dependable individuals who are mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and committed to delivering quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on residential standby generators.
• Perform inspections in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
• Replace oil, filters, spark plugs, batteries, and other maintenance components.
• Accurately record service and inspection results.
• Identify maintenance issues and communicate recommendations to customers and supervisors.
• Ensure generators are operating safely and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
• Ability to lift more than 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
• Willingness to work outdoors in changing weather conditions
• Strong mechanical aptitude and desire to develop new skills
• Experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, propane, automotive repair, small engines, landscaping equipment, or similar trades is a plus
• Basic knowledge of engines and mechanical systems preferred
• Previous experience working directly with customers in residential settings is beneficial
• Reliable, positive, and self-motivated work ethic

Candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test upon being given a conditional offer of employment.
