Position Overview

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team at Total Recovery Mind Wellness Clinic. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to work remotely, delivering specialized mental health care to clients affected by trauma. Work Environment

This role is offered in a remote setting, providing flexibility while maintaining the high standards of care for our clients. As a part of a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and licensed therapists, you will engage in open communication and collaboration to ensure integrated treatment approaches for our clients. Your work schedule will generally be Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history and determine appropriate treatment strategies.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery and resilience-building. This may include specific therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process trauma, acquire coping strategies, and support their healing journey.
• Work collaboratively with other mental health professionals to create coordinated care plans for clients, ensuring all aspects of their mental health needs are addressed.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, leveraging electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and continuing education initiatives focusing on trauma-informed care practices.
• Stay current with recent research developments and best practices in trauma therapy and mental health interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary client population includes adults and adolescents who have experienced various forms of trauma. You will engage with individuals facing challenges such as PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California is essential.
• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, especially in trauma-focused therapeutic settings.
• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Proficient in delivering interventions focused on trauma recovery.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
• A demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress situations.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and advanced computer applications.
• A collaborative spirit to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

While two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we value diverse therapeutic backgrounds and approaches. Candidates with a strong understanding of resilience-building strategies and proven success in trauma-focused therapies will be given priority. Your experience in similar mental health settings will uniquely position you to contribute to our team and our clients' success.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, with an expected annual salary between USD 90,000 and 110,000.
