Gregory Packaging, a third-generation, family-owned leader in aseptic and frozen juice manufacturing, is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance and reliability at one of our state-of-the-art facilities. As a Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in reducing downtime, optimizing maintenance processes, and ensuring our facility operates at peak performance. Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance team to foster a proactive and accountable maintenance culture.
  • Drive improvements in equipment reliability by minimizing recurring failures and unplanned downtime.
  • Develop, manage, and enhance preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Utilize Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to address and eliminate repeat equipment failures.
  • Oversee the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for accurate work order management, labor tracking, and maintenance history.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, automation, and process control systems.
  • Support and maintain Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and other industrial automation systems.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor relationships to control costs and ensure equipment reliability.
  • Lead capital improvement projects, equipment installations, and coordinate contractor activities.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Safety teams to enhance overall plant performance.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and audit-ready facility in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
  • Proven maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in food or beverage manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and industrial controls.
  • Proficiency in managing a CMMS.
  • Solid understanding of preventative maintenance, reliability, and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage vendors, and develop maintenance teams.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to plant emergencies as needed.

Success in this role is measured by your ability to prevent breakdowns, not just fix them. Within your first year, you will be expected to:

  • Reduce reactive maintenance so that unplanned work accounts for 15% or less of total maintenance labor by strengthening planning, scheduling, and preventative maintenance.
  • Increase equipment uptime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) across processing, filling, and packaging operations.
  • Maintain maintenance labor utilization of 90% or greater while shifting the team's focus from reactive repairs to planned work.
  • Achieve and sustain 95%+ on-time preventative maintenance completion.
  • Establish strong CMMS discipline with 95%+ work-order accuracy, including complete labor, parts, and failure reporting with timely close-out.
  • Improve spare parts management by maintaining 98%+ inventory accuracy, reducing inventory shrink, optimizing min/max levels, and lowering spare parts consumption through improved equipment reliability.
  • Develop a highly skilled maintenance team through structured training and cross-training while reducing dependence on outside contractors for routine maintenance.
  • Implement permanent corrective actions
