Position Overview

Top Point Mental Health Solutions is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. In this full-time role, you will have the opportunity to work remotely through our telehealth platform, delivering essential mental health services to individuals experiencing the effects of trauma. You will play a pivotal role in assessing, treating, and guiding patients on their recovery journey, utilizing evidence-based therapies designed to foster resilience and healing.

Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to conduct sessions from the comfort of your home while utilizing our telehealth technology. Your work schedule will primarily be Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate patient needs. This arrangement is designed to encourage work-life balance while ensuring that our clients receive the support they need when they need it.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' mental health status and trauma history, leading to the identification of tailored treatment strategies.
• Develop and implement comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience, and overall mental health improvement.
• Utilize recognized evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to empower patients to process their trauma, build coping mechanisms, and promote emotional recovery.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and members of a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, cohesive care for each patient, addressing their diverse needs.
• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that patients receive immediate assistance.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and effective coping strategies, fostering a supportive home environment.
• Maintain up-to-date and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards within our electronic health records system.
• Participate in ongoing case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to improve trauma-informed care practices.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to ensure that our approach remains evidence-based and relevant.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Top Point Mental Health Solutions, you will work primarily with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your focus will be on creating personalized recovery journeys that empower clients to reclaim their lives and foster emotional resilience.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant software applications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, empathetic approach.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of post-licensure experience focused on trauma therapy preferred.
• Prior experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions is highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

Compensation and Benefits
