Tonno Nero

Tonno Nero is an upscale-casual Mediterranean restaurant preparing to open in Fort Lauderdale, led by Chef Joe Anthony, formerly of Gabriel Kreuther. We are building a thoughtful wine program grounded in genuine hospitality, product knowledge, and service that feels polished but human.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Guide guests through wine selections and food pairings in an approachable, personalized way.
• Maintain accurate wine-list information, vintages, pricing, availability, and cellar organization.
• Execute proper bottle presentation, opening, decanting, temperature, and glassware standards.
• Receive, inspect, store, and count wine inventory; report discrepancies promptly.
• Lead concise wine education and pre-shift training for the service team.
• Support private dining, special events, and VIP experiences.
QUALIFICATIONS
• At least two years of Sommelier or comparable wine-service experience.
• Strong knowledge of wine regions, producers, varietals, vintages, and pairings.
• Warm, organized, team-focused, and comfortable discussing wine with guests at every knowledge level.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to obtain required Florida food-handler and allergen certifications within the company’s required timeframe.
