    Department: Product & Strategy

Reports to: Director, Product Content & Digital Adoption

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid 2-3 days/week required)

    Overview

AtTogetherwork, we set a high bar for clarity, collaboration, and execution. While our Product & Strategy leaders own portfolio outcomes, our individual contributors are equally essential, bringing curiosity, precision, and a commitment to excellence to every initiative. We work in deep partnership with Engineering, Revenue, CX, Operations, and Support, sharing accountability for delivering stable, modern, insight-driven products that help our customers thrive.

This teamoperatesdifferently. We are building an AI-first content and digital adoption function where AI is the primary production method, not an accelerator, but the engine. Every workflow, artifact, and deliverable is expected to be designed around AI-powered pipelines, with humanexpertiseapplied to strategy, editorial judgment, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.

We expect team members to bring strong analytical thinking, operational rigor, and deep fluency with generative AI, content automation, and modern tooling.Hard workis the norm, not for recognition, but for the greater good of our customers and the long-term health of our company.

This role reflects those expectations: AI-native, data-informed, customer-centered, and grounded in professionalism and positive intent.

    Role Summary

The Senior Product Content Engineer is a senior individual contributor responsible for producing high-quality technical content acrossTogetherwork'sproduct portfolio using AI-first workflows. This role owns the most complex content deliverables, including API documentation, release notes, in-app contextual help, and internal enablement materials, and serves as the primary architect of the AI content pipelines that power the team's output.

This is not a traditional technical writing role. The Senior Product Content Engineer designs prompt systems, builds automated content workflows, and applies deep editorial judgment to AI-generated output. The expectation is that AI produces the first draft of everything, and this role ensures accuracy, clarity, brand consistency, and technical correctness at scale.

This role partners closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, Engineering, and Design to embed content production into the delivery lifecycle, ensuring documentation and in-app help are ready at launch, not weeks after. The Senior Product Content Engineer also coaches the Product Content Engineer on pipeline usage, editorial standards, and technical writing craft.

This role works under the direction of the Director, Product Content & Digital Adoption, who owns the overall content strategy, team operating model, and AI pipeline architecture. The Senior Content Engineer translates that strategy into production-quality output and helps refine the systems that make it possible.

    • Build and refine prompt libraries, templates, and structured workflows that produce consistent, high-quality output across products.
    • Apply editorialexpertiseto review, refine, and approve AI-generated content for accuracy, voice, and completeness.
    • Continuously improve pipeline quality by analyzing output patterns, identifyingfailure modes, and refining prompts.
    • Evaluate new AI tools, models, and capabilities and recommend integration into existing workflows.
    • Partner with the Director to expand AI pipeline coverage tonew contenttypes and product areas.

    Technical Documentation & API Content

    • Own API documentation, developer guides, and technical reference materials across assigned products.
    • Partner with Engineering to ensure API docs areaccurate, complete, and aligned with current endpoints and schemas.
    • Create andmaintainstructured documentation frameworks that can be templated and scaled across the portfolio.
    • Produce clear, developer-friendly content that reducesintegrationfriction and support escalations.

Release Notes, In-App Help & Enablement

    • Produce release notes and changelogs aligned to product launch cycles across multiple products.
    • Create in-app contextual help content that guides users through features, workflows, and common tasks.
    • Develop internal enablement materials for Sales, CX, and Support teams tied to product releases and updates.
    • Ensure all content is consistent in voice, structure, and quality across the portfolio, following standards set by the Director.

    Cross-Functional Partnership & Delivery Integration

    • Embed into product delivery workflows to capture content requirements early in the development lifecycle.
    • Partner with Product Owners to extract story-level detail for documentation andhelpcontent.
    • Collaborate with the Digital Adoption Specialist to ensure written content and in-app guides are complementary and consistent.
    • Work with the Director to define and refine content standards, style guides, and quality benchmarks.
    • Coach and support the Product Content Engineer on pipeline usage, editorial standards, and technical writing craft.

Interview Integrity & Use of AI

We value authenticity, expertise, and real-time problem solving during our interview process. Candidates are expected torepresenttheir own knowledge, experience, and thinking without the use of AI-assisted tools during interviews.

The use of any AI tools during interviews, including but not limited to real-time scripting, recording, transcription, response generation, or coaching tools, isstrictly prohibited. This applies to phone, video, in-person, and technical or case-based interviews.

While we strongly value candidates who understand how to use AI tools effectively and responsibly, and this role specifically requires deep AI fluency, interviews must reflect the candidate's own abilities and perspectives. Any candidate found to be using AI-assisted tools during the interview process will beimmediatelydisqualified from consideration.
