We are expanding our presence in the greater Birmingham market and are seeking an ambitious, numbers-driven Commercial Sales Representative to accelerate our business-to-business (B2B) fleet account acquisitions. Position Summary
This is a high-visibility, outside sales development role. You will not be an office-bound account manager; you will actively work the territory to identify, audit, and close large-scale commercial fleets.
Unlike traditional sales roles that compensate purely on gross top-line revenue, Tire Tech operates on a profit-centric philosophy. Your commissions are tied directly to realized Gross Profit dollars, meaning your ability to sell value, defend pricing, and provide custom efficiency solutions directly dictates your upside. Our "A-Players" realistically earn $120,000+ per year.
Key Responsibilities
New Account Acquisition: Aggressively identify, target, and pitch commercial fleets, logistics providers, construction groups, and transport companies throughout the regional Birmingham footprint.
Value-Based Selling: Conduct structured fleet service audits for prospective clients, identifying their operational friction points (downtime, roadside failures, poor tracking) and engineering tailor-made preventive service packages.
Profitability Engineering: Manage pricing, client quotes, and proposals to ensure high operational margins. Defend the bottom line—your incentives align directly with business profitability, rewarding you heavily for high-margin service agreements.
Territory Coverage: Execute consistent field visibility and site visits across regional transit and industrial corridors to build a reliable and predictable pipeline.
CRM Discipline: Actively utilize our pipeline management software (Pipedrive) to log interactions, track accounts, map strategic next steps, and accurately forecast margin outputs.
Service Alignment: Collaborate directly with service managers and parts coordinators to ensure new fleet client onboarding is flawless and meets standard service level agreements.
What We Are Looking For
B2B Outside Sales Track Record: 3 to 5+ years of outside sales experience, with preferred backgrounds in commercial transportation, heavy diesel repair, fleet management, logistics, industrial supplies, or aggregates.
Strong Financial Aptitude: You understand the fundamentals of Gross Profit, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and value-based pricing. You know how to close a deal without slashing prices to do it.
Local Market Knowledge: Deep structural familiarity or an existing network within Birmingham's industrial corridors and transportation networks.
Field-Driven Mindset: A professional who prefers being in front of clients and touring job sites rather than behind a desk.
Operational Requirements: Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and own a clean, late-model personal truck or SUV suitable for professional client site visits.

Base Salary: $50,000 – $55,000 base salary (depending on baseline industry experience).
Uncapped Commission Structure: Tiered incentive percentages calculated entirely on realized gross profit dollars—featuring powerful compounding accelerators when you exceed monthly targets.
Vehicle Allowance: $400 fixed monthly allowance to completely cover your personal vehicle's asset utilization, depreciation, and insurance.
Fuel & Tool Program: Company-issued corporate fleet gas card (monitored via odometer) + 100% employer-covered business tolls and transponder expenses.
