Position Overview

Turning Tides Psychotherapy Center is currently seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. This role is integral to providing a range of mental health services designed to support clients in navigating their emotional and psychological challenges. Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance while maintaining the same level of professionalism and quality care our clients expect. All interactions will take place through our telehealth platform, which provides state-of-the-art technology to facilitate confidential and effective virtual therapy sessions. This work environment is designed to foster collaboration among team members, including regular case discussions and peer support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and emotional states, utilizing standardized tools and personal interviews.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are tailored to the unique needs, goals, and preferences of each client.
  • Provide various therapeutic interventions including, but not limited to, individual therapy, family sessions, and structured group therapy, all grounded in evidence-based practices.
  • Continuously monitor clients’ progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention to clients expressing acute distress, establishing a supportive and safe space.
  • Maintain accurate client records in compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards, utilizing our secure electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care that addresses the diverse needs of clients.
  • Engage in professional development and training programs to enhance therapeutic techniques and remain updated on industry trends.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines established by state licensing boards and professional organizations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.
  • Valid state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (e.g., LMFT, LMHC, LCSW).
  • Demonstrated expertise in clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with a variety of clients.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to therapy, demonstrating commitment to client advocacy.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently, as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ethical guidelines governing mental health practices.
  • Willful dedication to ongoing professional development and learning.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience in the mental health field.
  • Proficiency in using telehealth platforms for therapy and client consultations.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and a variety of mental health issues.
