Contract Pediatric Therapist

Location: Thrive Occupational Therapy, Northbrook, IL

Schedule: After-school hours required

Compensation: Competitive pay ranging from $60–$80 per hour (contract)

About the Role:

Thrive Occupational Therapy is seeking a passionate, motivated pediatric therapist to join our growing team on a contract basis. This role focuses on providing high-quality, play-based therapeutic services to children in a supportive, family-centered environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, play-based therapy sessions tailored to each child’s individual needs
• Work with pediatric clients across a variety of developmental areas (motor, sensory, coordination, regulation, play, ADL/IADLS)
• Collaborate with families to support carryover of skills at home
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with practice standards
• Communicate progress and goals clearly with caregivers

Requirements:

• Licensed Occupational therapist in the state of IL
• Liability Insurance
• Willingness to wait up to 90 days for insurance credentialing
• Experience working with pediatric populations (preferred)
• Strong understanding of play-based and child-centered approaches
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (must have a car)
• Availability for evening hours and Saturdays
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive contract rate: $60–$80/hour based on experience
