Essential Position
Base Salary: $86K + Commission
On Target Earnings: $104K-$114K
Summary: The Sales Director manages the sales process for ThriveMore at Home - a Continuing Care Services Without Lodging program currently serving Raleigh, North Carolina and the surrounding areas. Follow and manage prospects through the course of their journey until membership. Supervise a sales consultant once program grows to a membership level to add the consultant. Maintain or exceed budgeted membership goals.
Help older adults remain independent at home while building meaningful relationships throughout the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill region.
This hybrid field-based role combines consultative sales, educational presentations, networking, and one-on-one meetings with older adults and their families. Approximately 75% of your time will be spent in the community meeting prospects, referral sources, and members.

Qualification Requirements
  • Requires a bachelor's degree and a working knowledge of sales practices and procedures.
  • Requires prior direct sales experience, preferably in senior living industry, along with the application of this knowledge to sales activities such as sales presentations and customer prospecting.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred experience selling an expansion or new senior living community.

  • Be an effective communicator who can speak well, makes a good first impression, and demonstrates compassion for others.
  • Ability to present to large groups as well as one-on-one client presentations.
  • Interact with prospective residents - conducting interviews and following up on sales leads.
  • Possess drive and perseverance and committed to achieving the expected sales/marketing goals.
  • Be a high-energy, self-starter with a strong goal orientation, and a big picture perspective.
  • Must have the ability to read, write and perform basic mathematics and should be computer literate.
  • Should demonstrate motivation and good interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers.

Essential Functions
  • Actively pursues prospects through work performed remotely and during home visits including networking, holding visits and luncheons, telephone follow-up, prospecting etc.
  • Maintains knowledge of local competition as well as other CCaH programs.
  • Plans and participates in sales presentations for lunch and learns and similar events as well as in-home appointments.
  • Meets with interested individuals and couples, discusses features of the program and pre-qualifies customers for membership.
  • Completes all sales and application paperwork and ensures that forms are completed thoroughly and accurately, including Senior Sign document completion.
  • Ensures that corrections are made quickly on any application documents containing omissions or errors and resolves sales-related issues to expedite membership.
  • Maintains accurate records on prospective customers in CRM. Submits reports regarding daily and weekly activities including appointments, prospecting and results.
  • Works with Chief Marketing Officer on marketing strategies for the community.

Physical Demands
  • Travels regularly within the designated service area, including driving to client homes and event locations
  • Sits, stands, and walks for extended periods during meetings, presentations, and events
  • Communicates effectively in both one-on-one and group settings, including speaking to large audiences
  • Uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and CRM systems
  • Occasionally lifts or carries materials (e.g., marketing materials, presentation supplies) up to approximately 15-20 pounds
  • The role also requires sustained energy, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, goal-oriented sales environment.
