Work Environment

This position operates in a fully remote telehealth setting, integrating advanced digital platforms for therapy sessions. As a mental health professional, you will connect with clients through secure video calls, providing flexibility and comfort for clients receiving care in their own environments. Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain a positive, trusting rapport with clients to facilitate open dialogue and comprehensive care.
  • Diagnose mental health disorders utilizing standardized assessment tools and interviews, crafting tailored treatment plans that align with client needs.
  • Conduct individual and couples therapy sessions weekly, ensuring clients receive the necessary support for managing their challenges.
  • Regularly evaluate client progress through follow-up assessments, adjusting treatment plans based on therapeutic responses and feedback.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, providing referrals to specialists as needed for holistic patient care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client sessions and treatment plans in compliance with organizational policies and legal regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance therapeutic skills and stay current with best practices in mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a member of the Thrive Horizons Wellness team, you will primarily focus on adult clients, including individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and other mental health disorders. We also serve families looking to improve communication and resolve conflicts. Our approach emphasizes individualized care, recognizing the unique circumstances and backgrounds of each client.

Qualifications
  • A valid and active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Georgia.
  • A Master’s or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Training or experience in addiction counseling is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices for treating substance use issues and co-occurring disorders.
  • Exceptional therapeutic and counseling skills, alongside the ability to motivate and engage clients effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to foster solid teamwork and collaboration.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a teletherapy context, demonstrating familiarity with remote counseling protocols and technology.
  • Background working with diverse populations, understanding the cultural sensitivities involved in providing mental health services.
