Job description

We are looking for a nurturing, dependable, and patient Infant Teacher Assistant to support our infant classroom. This role is perfect for someone who has a heart for babies and enjoys creating a calm, loving, and safe environment where infants can grow and thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Lead Teacher with daily classroom routines and infant care
  • Assist with feeding, diapering, and maintaining proper hygiene practices
  • Provide attentive, responsive care to meet each infant’s individual needs
  • Engage with infants through talking, singing, and gentle interactions
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
  • Assist with implementing age-appropriate activities and sensory experiences
  • Ensure constant supervision and prioritize the safety of all children
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally with team members and families

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry infants
  • Ability to sit, bend, and move frequently between floor and standing positions
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with infants preferred
  • Passion for early childhood education and responsive caregiving
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
