Are you an experienced automotive technician looking for a rewarding career in a professional and fast-paced dealership? Thomas Nissan of Joliet, IL, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Skilled Import Technician to join our service team. Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Perform a full range of vehicle maintenance and repairs from routine services to complex diagnostics.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
Work closely with service advisors to communicate repair needs and recommendations to customers.
Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with dealership and industry standards.
Stay up to date with emerging automotive technologies through continuous learning and training.
Minimum five years of experience as an automotive technician
Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills
Proficiency with modern automotive tools and software
Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
High school diploma required (technical school or certifications preferred)
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
