Recovery Engagement Coordinator
Schedule: Full-Time | In-Person

Second Wind is seeking a compassionate, outgoing, and relationship-driven Resident Recovery Engagement Coordinator to support our Substance Use Disorder (SUD) program within assisted living facilities. This role is ideal for someone who is personable, empathetic, and comfortable building trust with residents in order to encourage participation in services that can improve their health, well-being, and quality of life.

The Resident Recovery Engagement Coordinator will serve as a key connection point between residents and the Second Wind care team. This individual will help residents understand the program, encourage them to meet with clinicians and peer staff, and support ongoing engagement with services.

Job Summary

As a Resident Recovery Engagement Coordinator, you will build relationships with residents in assisted living settings and help increase awareness, participation, and engagement in the Second Wind program. This role is not clinical, but it is highly interpersonal and mission-driven. Success in this position requires warmth, professionalism, persistence, and the ability to connect with residents in a respectful and encouraging way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with residents within the assisted living facility

  • Educate residents about the Second Wind program and its benefits in a clear, compassionate, and approachable manner

  • Encourage residents to enroll in the program and participate in services

  • Motivate residents to attend appointments with clinicians and engage with peer staff

  • Conduct regular resident outreach and follow-up to maintain interest and participation

  • Help identify residents who may benefit from services and connect them with the appropriate team members

  • Collaborate closely with clinicians, peer advocates, facility staff, and leadership to support resident engagement goals

  • Track outreach efforts, resident interest, and enrollment activity

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of interactions and referrals

  • Represent Second Wind in a professional, friendly, and resident-centered manner at all times

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience working with older adults, behavioral health, substance use, or healthcare settings is a plus

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Natural ability to connect with others and build trust

  • Compassionate, confident, and professional presence

  • Ability to encourage participation without being overly aggressive or “salesy”

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow up consistently

  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team

  • Experience in resident engagement, community outreach, patient relations, admissions, case management support, hospitality, social services, or a related field preferred
