Job description

The Sapling School is seeking a dedicated Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our team in Kendall Park, NJ. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood education and eager to support a nurturing and engaging classroom environment. The successful candidate must be available to work between 9 AM and 6 PM to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent care for our students.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
  • Supervise and engage with children to promote social, emotional, and educational development.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
  • Communicate with parents and staff regarding student progress and needs.
  • Support classroom routines and schedules, including snack, nap, and outdoor play times.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Availability to work between 9 AM and 6 PM.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
