Position Overview
A traveler‑friendly facility in Philip, South Dakota is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a 13‑week assignment beginning 5/4. This role offers a steady weekday schedule and a diverse caseload across long‑term care, skilled swing bed, and limited outpatient services. Ideal for an OT who thrives in a rural, collaborative environment and enjoys providing functional, patient‑centered care.

Daily Caseload: Typically 6–9 patients per day

Skilled swing bed
Limited outpatient coverage
Patient Population: Primarily adult and geriatric with a mix of post‑acute and chronic conditions

Requirements
Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience
Active OT license (South Dakota or willing to obtain)
Strong skills in ADL/IADL training, functional mobility, cognitive retraining, and care planning
Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
Reliable, professional, and committed to completing the full 13‑week contract

Perform OT evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide therapeutic interventions to improve functional independence
Document all care accurately and efficiently
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across LTC, swing bed, and outpatient
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home programs and safety strategies
