Job description

Job Summary

The Mental Health Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy to adolescents and/or young adults experiencing mental health and behavioral health challenges. This role collaborates with a multidisciplinary clinical team to support patients throughout a structured treatment episode and into successful aftercare.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to adolescents and/or young adults presenting with anxiety, depression, substance use, and other co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and interviews with patients and families.
  • Establish and maintain therapeutic rapport with assigned patients throughout a 28-35 day treatment episode.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment updates.
  • Synthesize and communicate clinical findings to interdisciplinary team
  • Participate in aftercare and discharge planning, collaborating with families and external providers to ensure continuity of care.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and all applicable clinical, regulatory, and licensing
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a clinical mental health or behavioral health setting.
  • Experience working with adolescents and/or young adults.
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Experience providing individual, group, and/or family therapy.
  • Experience with mental health, substance use, eating disorders, or trauma-informed treatment preferred.
  • Licensed or pre-licensed in California as one of the following:
    • LMFT / AMFT
    • LPCC / APCC
    • LCSW / ASW
      • Pending Licensure Accepted
