Lead Digital Press Operator
A digital press operator sets up, runs, and maintains commercial digital printing presses (such as HP Indigo, Xerox, or wide-format units). They review job orders, load media and ink, calibrate color quality, monitor active print runs, and perform routine machine maintenance to meet tight production deadlines. Monitor and request replenishment of stocks and consumables to meet production demands

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Set up, load, and run digital presses and RIP/workflow software.
• Quality Control: Monitor color consistency, image registration, and output clarity; inspect finished sheets for defects.
• Maintenance & Safety: Perform daily calibration, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting; follow shop safety guidelines.
• Job Tracking: Review production specs or job tickets and log materials or labor used.
• Finishing Support: Operate UV coater daily.As needed auxiliary equipment like die cutters, folders and laminators.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum 3 years in commercial print production operating digital or wide-format presses.
• Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency, Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator(Mac/Windows) and familiarity with specific press brands Canon, HP Indigo, Ricoh, Xerox).
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 40–50 pounds of paper stock and supplies.
• Soft Skills: Troubleshooting, sense of urgency. Strong attention to detail, basic math/measurement skills, and reliable communication.
• Attendance and Punctuality: Most important part of this role is to be present and on time as expected.
