About This Role

Our licensed Early Childhood center in the greater New Haven area caters to children aged 6 weeks to 10 years, with a focus on fostering a stimulating atmosphere that encourages growth. What You'll Do
  • Design engaging learning activities that stimulate children's curiosity and creativity, incorporating a range of materials and resources.
  • Plan and lead educational outings, such as field trips, to promote children's physical, mental, and social development.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behavior, and health, using this information to inform teaching practices.
  • Regularly communicate with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their child's development and any areas of concern.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children, adhering to established guidelines.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs and interests of children, using a range of instructional materials and approaches.
  • Arrange the classroom and outdoor spaces to promote creative play, motor skill development, and safety.
  • Develop and maintain accurate student records, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, policies, and regulations.
  • Compile reports on students and activities as required by our administration.
  • Display students' work in a manner that is engaging and accessible to their age group.
  • Attend professional development opportunities, such as conferences and workshops, to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and schedule lessons that align with our approved curriculum.
  • Supervise and guide teacher assistants and volunteers, ensuring they have the necessary support to excel in their roles.
  • Contribute to the development, evaluation, and revision of our preschool programs, working closely with other teachers and administrators.
