Medical Office Assistant

The Kidney Group is looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking Medical Office Assistant to join our specialty practice. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, dependable, and comfortable working in a busy medical office environment.

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct incoming phone calls

• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments

• Perform accurate data entry

• Collect and update patient demographics

• Enter and verify patient insurance information

• Knowledge of patient registration procedures and documentation

• Obtain signed HIPAA authorization forms

• Collect patient payments per office policies

• Prepare daily deposits for office co-pays collected.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records

• Assist with general clerical and administrative tasks

• Provide professional and courteous service to patient

Experience & Qualifications

• 2 years of medical office experience required

• 2 years of experience as a receptionist in the healthcare industry — required

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems

• Epic experience

• Strong computer and data-entry skills

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Professional, dependable, and patient-focused

• Ability to work in a close -knit, team focused office environment

• Ability and willingness to travel between company office locations ..

Initial Training:

Initial training will be conducted at the Warren, Ohio Location

Travel Requirement:

Upon completion of initial training, travel between our company offices may be required based on the needs of the practice.
