What You'll Tackle: The Financial Heartbeat of Our Portfolio

As our Property Accountant, you're the ultimate financial guardian for a portfolio of residential properties. You’ll be responsible for the precise and timely execution of all monthly financial reporting and analysis. This role is crucial to ensuring the financial health and transparency of our portfolio. You're not just crunching numbers; you’re providing the critical data that drives our success and helps us make strategic decisions.

Your Core Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare comprehensive monthly financial statements and their corresponding work papers with surgical precision.
• Budgeting: Create and maintain annual budgets for each assigned property.
• Variance Analysis: Conduct monthly deep dives into budget-to-actual variances, turning data into actionable insights.
• External Collaboration: Work with outside accountants to help prepare financial statements and tax returns.
• Ledger & Account Reconciliation: Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring every number is accurate and accounted for.

• Experience: You have at least 2 years of proven experience in financial reporting. Experience in real estate or property accounting is a major plus.
• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Tech Skills: You're a pro with Microsoft Excel and ideally have experience with Yardi.
• Mindset: You’re self-motivated, proactive, and have an exceptional work ethic. You're a problem-solver who believes in taking ownership of your work.
