Role Description The Software Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Hinsdale, IL. This role involves assisting with software development tasks, including coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining applications under the guidance of senior team members. The Software Associate will collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, document technical work, and support ongoing enhancements. Day-to-day responsibilities include participating in team meetings, performing research on tools and technologies, analyzing system behavior, and contributing to the improvement of development processes. The role also involves clear communication of progress, issues, and ideas to ensure alignment and timely delivery of software features.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret requirements, troubleshoot issues, and evaluate software performance.
  • Candidates should possess Software Development skills to assist with coding, testing, and maintaining applications.
  • Candidates should possess Programming skills in one or more languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript).
  • Candidates should possess Communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical team members.
  • Candidates should possess Research skills to investigate new tools, frameworks, and best practices that support development work.
  • Relevant qualifications include familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site in Hinsdale, IL, manage time effectively, and adapt to evolving project needs.
