POSITION OVERVIEW

The President of the Family Office reports to Roy Carroll and serves as a member of his senior leadership team. This executive is responsible for the legal and financial management of the family’s personal assets, investments, real estate, philanthropy, and other personal matters. The role is the primary liaison between the family and external legal, tax, investment, banking, insurance, and other advisors, integrating complex legal and financial matters with the daily operations of a high net worth, dynamic family.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the family office, its staff, and daily operations; serve as the primary liaison with the family and principal.
  • Direct, coordinate, and administer family office operations and related business entities under the principal’s direction.
  • Monitor investment assets and coordinate strategy among family members and external investment advisors.
  • Advise on routine legal matters and oversee outside counsel, accountants, advisors, brokers, and other professionals.
  • Prepare annual personal financial statements and review financial information for family members’ tax returns.
  • Manage banking relationships, loan documents, contracts, leases, and related negotiations.
  • Develop organizational plans and structures for family businesses and coordinate estate planning, trust administration, and tax optimization strategies.
  • Handle the legal and financial management of private assets, including luxury residences, collectible cars, maritime vessels, and personal collections, including related contracts.
  • Identify, prioritize, and implement technology, cybersecurity, insurance, and security protocols to protect physical and digital assets.
  • Oversee foundation and charitable financial activities under the direction of the family.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree and Juris Doctor Degree from a national or regionally accredited university.
  • At least seven years of relevant business and legal experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Absolute commitment to confidentiality and the highest ethical standards.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, trust structures, investment vehicles, and financial reporting.
