Role Description The Architectural Designer will work on-site full time in St Peters, MO, collaborating with architects and engineers to develop design concepts and translate them into detailed drawings and construction documents. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with schematic design, design development, and construction documentation for a variety of project types, as well as preparing plans, elevations, and 3D representations using industry-standard software. The role involves coordinating with project teams, participating in design reviews, incorporating feedback, and ensuring that drawings meet building codes and firm standards. The Architectural Designer will also support site analysis, materials and product research, and documentation for permitting and construction, while contributing to a positive, professional team environment.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to develop and refine design concepts.
  • Proficiency in producing accurate Construction Drawings and technical documentation for permitting and construction.
  • Solid Drawing skills, including hand sketches and digital drafting, for clear communication of design intent.
  • Understanding of Urban Planning principles and how they inform site design and project context.
  • Proficiency with architectural design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp) and basic familiarity with BIM workflows.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field; progress toward professional licensure is a plus.
  • Knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements, and industry standards.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and time-management skills, with the ability to work in an on-site team setting.
  • Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and openness to feedback in a fast-paced project environment.
