Job description

We are seeking part-time Medical Technicians to be integral parts of our healthcare team, assisting in the delivery of medical care to our residents.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to nursing staff in administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting independence and dignity.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive personalized and high-quality care.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and follow established protocols.
  • Ensure all resident medication orders are current and correct including dosage, change in dosage, and temporarily or permanently discontinued.
  • Ensures that all centrally stored medication is inaccessible to residents or staff who are not authorized to handle medication.
  • Observe residents for any reactions and/or side effects of medication and report to the resident physician.
  • Documents any changes in the resident’s health condition or mental status.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily need including but not limited to bathing dressing, grooming, dental care, and incontinence care as needed Documents daily care.

Qualifications: 
  • Certified Medical Technician or relevant certification.
  • Previous experience in an assisted living or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to resident care.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move patients if required.
