Job description

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented bilingual Medical Assistant to join our full-time Cardiology practice. The ideal candidate will support physicians and clinical staff by providing high-quality patient care, assisting with cardiovascular procedures, and ensuring efficient clinic operations. Fluency in English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with our diverse patient population.

****PAY WILL BE BASED ON EXPERIENCE****

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations and cardiology procedures
  • Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
  • Perform EKGs, stress test preparation, and Holter/event monitor setup and removal
  • Administer injections and medications per provider orders
  • Draw blood and perform basic lab tests
  • Room patients and ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready
  • Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Provide patient education regarding tests, medications, and follow-up care
  • Coordinate diagnostic testing and referrals
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
  • Certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required
  • Previous experience in cardiology or specialty practice preferred
  • Proficiency with EKGs and cardiac monitoring preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
  • Experience with EMR systems

  • Mon- Friday approx. 8am-5pm
