Work Environment

This position enables counselors to work remotely, providing comfort and flexibility without compromising on client care. As part of our digital health approach, counselors will use a cloud-based Electronic Health Records (EHR) system that is compliant with HIPAA regulations, ensuring the utmost confidentiality and security in client communications. Our telehealth platform allows for seamless virtual counseling sessions, giving staff the tools they need to maintain high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group counseling sessions focusing on cognitive behavioral therapy and other methods tailored to client needs.
• Design and implement treatment plans that assist clients in managing symptoms related to mental health disorders, trauma, or dual diagnoses.
• Utilize a cloud-based EHR system to document all client interactions accurately and in compliance with insurance requirements, including those for Medicaid and Medicare.
• Facilitate a safe and supportive environment during counseling sessions, maintaining strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance therapeutic skills and knowledge of best practices in mental health care.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
• A minimum of three years of experience in mental health counseling is required, demonstrating a proven capability to work effectively with clients in a therapeutic context.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting, along with reliable internet access and a professional-grade computer setup for telehealth sessions.
• Willingness to participate in background checks and readiness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends as necessary.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with diverse populations and addressing a variety of mental health issues, including trauma-informed care and substance use disorders.
• Proficiency in utilizing telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems.
• Familiarity with behavioral health interventions and treatment modalities tailored to specific client needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with education, experience, and specialization. In addition to competitive pay, Terros Therapy Center provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
