What You Will Do to Change Lives
Under the supervision of the Program Administrator, provide rehabilitative support services for adults with developmental disabilities with challenging behavior service needs.
Shifts Available:
NOC Shift (11:00 pm - 7:30 am) Short Hour: Sunday and Monday
The expected starting wage range is $24.71-$30.54. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)
  • High School Graduation or G.E.D.
  • One (1) year of experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities with challenging behavior service needs.
  • Board-certified as a Registered Behavior Technician within 60 days of initial employment or be a Qualified Behavior Modification Professional
  • Within one year of employment, all direct care staff shall complete both segments of the Direct Support Professional (DSP) competency-based training course, including the competency tests, or pass the department-approved challenge tests for both segments. Proof of prior successful completion of both training segments and competency exams will meet this requirement.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be BLS/CPR/AED with First Aid Certified, and CPI certified (hands-on course) on date of employment or prior to providing direct client care, and maintain current certification throughout employment.
  • All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, a valid driver's license, a motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance are required at the time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. Additional regulatory, contractual, or local requirements may apply.
  • Valid and current driver's license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
  • Willingness to use your personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc. (weekly mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate)

EBSHs provide 24-hour non-medical care in a homelike setting to individuals with developmental disabilities with challenging behaviors who require additional supports, staffing, and supervision. The homes have unique characteristics and offer person-centered planning, positive behavior supports, trauma-informed care, and other services and supports which are beyond what is typically available in other community-based homes.
