Job description

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer to lead the design, development, and support of tooling and test software solutions for IoT devices. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, Industrial Automation, and Manufacturing Systems with experience integrating hardware devices and production systems.

📍 Location: Coopersburg, PA (Onsite)
💰 Rate: $45 - $50/hr
📄 Employment Type: Contract

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in C#/.NET Development.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing flexible and scalable software frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with communication protocols:
    • OPC UA
    • Modbus (RTU/TCP)
    • Serial Communication
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core Web API.
  • Strong understanding of Entity Framework Core and database integration.
  • Experience implementing Microservices Architecture.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and support tooling and test software solutions for IoT devices.
  • Build scalable End-of-Line (EOL) test platforms and modernize legacy systems.
  • Develop robust applications that interface with:
    • Hardware Devices
    • PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
    • Industrial Automation Systems
    • Manufacturing Systems
  • Collaborate with Software Engineering, Manufacturing, and Automation teams.
  • Develop modular and reusable software components supporting:
    • Barcode Scanners
    • Printers
    • Digital Multimeters (DMMs)
    • Voltage/Current Meters
    • Other Industrial Hardware Devices
  • Design and implement RESTful services and microservices-based solutions.
  • Integrate applications with centralized databases using Entity Framework Core.
  • Enable seamless data exchange between production systems and enterprise platforms.
  • Ensure high performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability of software solutions.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working in manufacturing, industrial automation, or IoT environments.
  • Knowledge of hardware-software integration and device communication.
  • Experience supporting production-floor applications and test automation systems.
