This is a remote position.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer / Data Architect with strong Microsoft Azure expertise and exposure to Microsoft Fabric. This is a part-time advisory and hands-on role focused on designing, optimizing, and supporting modern cloud data architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect scalable Azure-based data solutions.
  • Work extensively withMicrosoft Azure, includingAzure Data Factoryand related data services.
  • Support and guide implementation withinMicrosoft Fabricenvironments.
  • Develop and optimize data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data models.
  • Collaborate on reporting and analytics solutions usingPower BI.
  • Provide architectural guidance, best practices, and mentorship (Fabric trainee-level support as needed).
  • Participate in a monthly onsite session (~2 hours) in Southern California.

Required Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory.
  • Proficiency in Power BI for reporting and visualization.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
  • Ability to work independently in a part-time advisory capacity.
  • Approx. 25 hours per month (around 6 hours per week).
  • One onsite meeting per month (2 hours) in Southern California.
