Our client, a leading global trading and distribution organization, is looking for an experienced Operations Lead to manage day-to-day trade operations for assigned steel products and coordinate operations across the US and India.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise end-to-end steel trade execution
• Handle Letters of Credit (LCs), banking coordination and customer payments
• Manage customs clearance and international trade documentation
• Review sales/purchase contracts, purchase orders and Incoterms
• Coordinate freight, warehouses, vendors and service providers
• Manage inventory reporting and ageing stock
• Supervise and support Operations team members across the US and India
• Drive operational process improvements
• Work closely with Traders, Finance and other functions

Ideal Profile

• Strong hands-on international trade operations experience
• Good knowledge of LCs, trade finance, customs and logistics
• Strong understanding of Incoterms and trade documentation
• Team coordination/management experience
• Advanced Excel and good ERP knowledge; D365/NAVISION exposure advantageous
• Steel/Metals Trading, Steel Mills or Commodities experience preferred
• Spanish language skills are a plus
