We're seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Lumber Take-Off Estimator to join our thriving team. We want to hear from you if you're eager to collaborate with a driven, supportive, and vibrant group.

Your Role: Lumber Take-Off Estimator reporting to our VP Sales & Design
What You Bring:
- Read, interpret, and understand blueprints and building codes related to residential, commercial projects.
- Produce accurate material takeoffs and cost estimates for lumber and related materials using software tools.
- Ability to examine drawings and blueprints for intent, conformity, and error.
- Estimate the quantity and types of lumber and related materials needed for various construction projects.
- Generate quotes quickly, efficiently, and accurately for customers.
- Exceptional customer service attitude to maintain excellent client interaction.
- Communicate with engineers, architects, and contractors regarding project details before and during construction.
- Maintain positive working relationships with co-workers.
- Demonstrated skills working in a team environment.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Attend and participate in company-sponsored training programs as required.
Qualifications:
- Technical diploma in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Work experience in the lumber or construction materials industry is an asset and would supersede educational experience.
- Knowledge of construction processes and materials related to single-family, multi-family, and light commercial wood-framed construction.
- Understanding of local building codes and construction practices.
- Possess the skills to work with multiple software platforms
- Proficient with computers is a must
