POSITION TITLE: Welder
REPORTS TO: Assigned Supervisor
STATUS: Full Time Hourly Position
POSITION OVERVIEW: 
Join Tarter as a Welder and be a part of our dedicated team responsible for producing high-quality welded products. As a Welder, you will play a key role in welding components according to blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards, using both manual and robotic welding methods.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
In the role of Welder, you will be responsible for the following essential functions:
  • Layout and Preparation: Lay out parts in jigs using tape measures, clamps, and squares, ensuring accurate positioning for welding.
  • Tack Welding: Skillfully tack weld parts together in a manner that allows for the final weld to cover the tacks, ensuring a clean finish.
  • Welding Expertise: Weld components using MIG, Pulse, or robotic welding techniques, producing strong, high-quality welds.
  • Safe Tool Operation: Safely and effectively operate a variety of handheld and electric tools, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Adherence to Instructions: Follow work and welding instructions meticulously to meet quality and production standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Recognize and address instances where parts do not fit properly in jigs or do not align with adjoining parts, ensuring accurate assembly.
  • Material Handling: Safely operate overhead cranes or hoists as necessary for the welding process.
  • Visualizing Finished Products: Conceptualize the final appearance of products during the welding process to ensure precision.
  • Assembly Skills: Properly assemble welded parts according to specifications.
  • Adaptability: Be open to performing other duties as assigned, contributing to a flexible and productive work environment.

  • Physical Agility: Capability to stretch, twist, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for quality and precision.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and find solutions as needed.
  • 5's - Good Housekeeping Practices: Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Tool Proficiency: Competence in using tape measures, clamps, squares, grinders, drills, and saws.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
