Job description

Join Our Team as an Import Coordinator!

Location: Wood Dale, IL
Pay: $22–$23 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about logistics? We're looking for an Import Coordinator to join our growing team and play a key role in ensuring international shipments move smoothly from arrival to final delivery.

In this fast-paced position, you'll collaborate with customers, vendors, trucking companies, warehouses, and government agencies to keep shipments on track while delivering exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate import shipments from arrival through final delivery
  • Prepare and submit import data to U.S. Customs and Border Protection and other regulatory agencies, including the FDA
  • Review and process import documentation for accuracy and compliance
  • Monitor shipment status and provide timely updates to customers
  • Arrange trucking, drayage, and warehouse receiving services
  • Approve vendor invoices and submit payments
  • Generate customer invoices and process terminal payments through platforms such as PierPass, CargoSprint, and PayCargo
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve shipment issues to prevent delays
  • Ensure all shipments meet regulatory requirements and deadlines

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in import logistics and/or customs brokerage preferred
  • Working knowledge of U.S. Customs procedures and import documentation
  • Strong organizational, data entry, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Tradepoint experience is a plus
