Talent Group LLC is partnering with a growing food manufacturing and agricultural processing company in California’s Central Valley to identify an experienced Pack Line Lead for their production team.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily packaging line operations, directing pack room staff, maintaining quality and food safety standards, and driving shift productivity. The ideal candidate is a strong floor leader who thrives in fast paced production environments and can independently manage line performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    Production Line Leadership

    • Lead daily pack line operations from startup through shutdown

    • Direct pack room crew assignments and workflow throughout the shift

    • Monitor production throughput, line efficiency, and quality standards in real time

    • Provide coaching, corrective feedback, and ongoing support to production staff

    • Maintain a safe, organized, and food safe work environment throughout each shift

    Quality & Food Safety

    • Ensure compliance with GMPs, sanitation procedures, allergen controls, labeling accuracy, and traceability requirements

    • Monitor product quality and packaging standards throughout production runs

    • Partner closely with QA personnel to identify and resolve quality concerns quickly and effectively

    • Support quality hold procedures and communicate production concerns to leadership as needed

    Production Monitoring & Compliance

    • Read and interpret production BOMs and packaging specifications

    • Monitor blend ratios, weights, yields, and packaging accuracy during production

    • Make routine line adjustments to maintain efficiency and product consistency

    • Track production variances and communicate operational concerns to plant leadership

    Equipment & Troubleshooting

    • Perform first line troubleshooting on packaging equipment including conveyors, scales, sealers, and related systems

    • Escalate maintenance or operational issues outside of normal troubleshooting scope

    • Help minimize downtime through proactive monitoring and strong floor awareness

    Team Development & Communication

    • Train and onboard new production and pack room team members

    • Participate in effective shift handoffs and communicate operational updates clearly between teams

    • Identify recurring operational or equipment issues and communicate trends to leadership for continuous improvement efforts

    Qualifications

    Required

    • 2+ years of experience leading packaging or processing line operations within food manufacturing, agriculture, or a related production environment

    • Proven ability to independently lead production shifts and maintain productivity standards

    • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to direct teams in fast paced environments

    • Experience monitoring quality standards, production targets, and food safety requirements

    • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs in a production environment

    • English communication skills required; bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred

    Preferred

    • Experience with check weigh systems, conveyors, sealers, or packaging equipment

    • Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting experience

    • Previous experience training or mentoring production staff

    • Familiarity with GMP, SQF, HACCP, or food safety programs preferred

    Compensation & Benefits

    • $24.00 to $30.00 per hour depending on experience

    • Health, dental, and vision insurance

    • Paid time off

    • Stable, full time employment opportunity with a growing agricultural manufacturing organization
