Tag & Title Administrator
Beyer Automotive Group is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Tag & Title Administrator to oversee all aspects of vehicle registration and title processing. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team at a fast-paced and growing dealership group.
Job Summary: The Tag & Title Administrator is responsible for managing the preparation and processing of all motor vehicle paperwork to ensure timely and accurate title and registration of sold vehicles. This position plays a key role in maintaining legal compliance and supporting the sales and finance departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute daily operations of the tag and title department
- Accurately prepare and process DMV paperwork for new and used vehicles
- Ensure all documents comply with local, state, and federal regulations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of DMV rules and procedures
- Serve as a point of contact for DMV & lender audits and inquiries
- Track and resolve title issues, lien releases, and missing documentation
- Coordinate with sales, finance, and service departments to streamline operations
- Train and supervise tag/title clerks as needed
- Maintain detailed records for all transactions and monitor document filing systems
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a tag/title role, preferably in a dealership setting, is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of DMV regulations and vehicle titling procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in DMS software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education a plus
